In the Quran Allah gives the message to Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)

“And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.”

We may receive some protection from other creations but the real protection comes from Allah. There is no harm to the one who Allah has entrusted.

At times we may grow in frustration or have doubt but trust in Allah’s plan, it may not make sense while you’re living in the moment but only once we go through it we will be able to see the bigger picture.

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: If anyone extols Allah after every prayer thirty-three times, and praises Allah thirty-three times, and declares His Greatness thirty-three times, ninety-nine times in all, and says to complete a hundred:” There is no god but Allah, having no partner with Him, to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him is praise due, and He is Potent over everything,” his sins will be forgiven even If these are as abundant as the foam of the sea. Sahih Muslim 597 a

MAY ALLAH PROTECT US DUA:

Recite the following dua in Arabic for protection. Reference is Surah Al-Imran ayat 173:

 حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ ٱلْوَكِيلُ

Transliteration: hasbunal allahu wa ni’mal wakeel
Translation: Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.

Humbly requesting for Allah’s help and seeking his forgiveness are among the best duas you can make. Allah loves the pious, the pure, those whose intentions are good. Islam is a religion where your niyyah (intention) matters. It’s good to pray salah and there is a reward in it, but the most important aspect of salah is to do it with your heart.

Do it for the remembrance of Allah, to worship him. It’s not to please your parents or to show how great of a Muslim you are. That is fulfilling your salah to fulfill your ego. Avoid doing this. Pray because you want to, not because you have to.

DUA – MAY ALLAH PROTECT US FROM ILLNESS OR DISEASE

Here is one dua in Arabic from the hadith which can be recited for protection from illness, diseases, or calamity:

 اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَاىَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي وَاحْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَىَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي وَمِنْ فَوْقِي وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي

Transliteration: Allahumma inni as’alukal-‘afwa wal-‘afiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as’alukal-‘afwa wal-‘afiyah fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahum-mastur ‘awrati, wa amin raw’ati wahfazni min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfi, wa ‘an yamini wa ‘an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa ‘audhu bika an ughtala min tahti

Translation: O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religious and my worldly affairs. O Allah, conceal my faults, calm my fears, and protect me from before me and behind me, from my right and my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in You from being taken unaware from beneath me.

Sahih (Darussalam) – Sunan Ibn Majah 3871

PROTECTION FROM THE HELLFIRE

For Protection from the hellfire. In the Saheeh hadith of An-Nasa’i 5521:

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: “The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: ‘Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times, Paradise will say: ‘O Allah, admit him to Paradise.’ And whoever seeks protection from Hell three times, Hell will say:

اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

Transliteration: Allahumma Ajirni Min Al-Nar
O Allah, protect him from the Fire.

MAY ALLAH PROTECT YOU QUOTES
